We are in need of need volunteers for the festival to be held in
Stillwater, Oklahoma June 20-22, 2008.
It does not need to be an all day thing, we are looking for people who
can donate time to work in two hour shifts.
We need someone who can direct the flow of people and answer
questions. We need people in organization booths and at the
sessions. There is a need for people at the ticket booth- one person
(this someone does not have to be an adult) to stamp cool Celtic
designs on hands and someone to take money.  We also need people
to help outside with the dog trials. The local Humane Society and OSU
will be setting up with terrier and border collie adoptions and are
willing to help with the hands on part of the dog trials.  It is going to
take a lot of people to make this festival successful...please let us
know if you can lend a hand.

We are gearing up for our next round of fund raisers to benefit the
2008 Oklahoma Celtic Music and Heritage Festival. We plan on having
more Celtic music concerts in Stillwater, Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
Upcoming details will be posted as soon as they arrive.
Drop us a
note if you want to help at  fund raisers, have any ideas for any other
fund raiser or anything else.  Lots of expenses go into a
festival--paying the bands is only a small part of it. Help this festival
that will promote Celtic Culture in Oklahoma!

We are pleased to announce the 2nd annual Oklahoma Celtic Music and
Heritage Festival! Our first festival was such a success that we can't help
but want to do it again. Payne County will once again play host to this
event. The Oklahoma Celtic Music and Heritage Festival is brought to you
by the Oklahoma Celtic Heritage Association.  This project will be held at
the Payne County Expo in Stillwater,OK in June of 2008.

The Festival will showcase the music, dance, arts, crafts and heritage of
Ireland, Scotland, Wales and other Celtic countries whose descendants
settled in Payne County and the rest of Oklahoma. The skirl of the pipes,
and call of the fiddles will fill the air as demonstrations and workshops
take place during the two days of celebration.
